Join us as we continue our "literary journey" with English gothic novelist Eliza Parsons. Parson's was a writer who wrote gothic literature. She turned to Gothic writing because it was popular at the time and because she needed to support her family after husband died. Parsons was a deeply religious Protestant. She believed in the good being rewarded and the wicked being punished, which shows through in her works. She produced a lot of novels in a short amount of years which critics criticized heavily. Some of her gothic novels include; Women as They Are (1797) and The Valley of St. Gothard (1799). Tune in as journey with gothic diva Eliza Parsons. Stay tuned and keep it locked.
