A voice with a true passion for literature and music was Jim Carroll- who began his writing career publishing in elite literary magazines. He is best known for the 1978 autobiographical work The Basketball Diaries, which was made into the 1995 film of the same name, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Carroll. His other works include: "Organic Trains (1967)", "Living at the Movies (1973)", " Fear of Dreaming (1993)" and "The Book of Nods (1986)." As well as albums, spokenword, and compilations.
