Join us as we continue our literary journey with poet and author Jack Spicer. He is a poet identified with the San Francisco Renaissance. He co-founded the famous Six Gallery, the scene of the famous October 1955 Six Gallery reading that launched the West Coast Beat movement. The Collected Books of Jack Spicer (first published in 1975) and now published a bit later has continued his popularity and influence which has steadily risen, affecting poetry throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Other literary works include, The House That Jack Built, My Vocabulary Did This To Me, and After Lorca. Long over due in 2009, My Vocabulary Did This to Me: The Collected Poetry of Jack Spicer won the American Book Award for poetry. Tune in as we journey with poet Jack Spicer.
