Bloodstream Parade is a new dynamic metal band. Their sound comes from several influences ranging from the early rock/metal bands to the latest underground metal bands. BSP has experience along with business education. They speak loud and carry the big stick. Shawn and Wolf lead this machine. Shawn sits behind the set and and hammers the tempo. Wolf rips the bass with power and carries the bassist personality. These two rockers know metal and understand business management. BSP added their guitars who both have unique talents. Ryan is very methodical with the talent to integrate strong lyrics to the music they play. Tim is the free spirit who rocks out. His personality is the same both on and off the stage. This allows him to play open and rock hard. The final piece of the puzzle came when Tony joined to blast the sound waves with his vocal demand. Tony is very comfortable leading the band on stage. His vocal range and interaction with the crowd prove to be a valuable mesh with the rest of BSP. This band has experience, knowledge and hunger to grow to the metal giants they strive for. After the birth of their first album: -------------------- "The Apocalypse: in Retrospect"--------------------- BSP will overpower the underground metal scene and produce many incredible albums for years to come.

The fabled "Band Bio"....who reads this stuff anyway? So...we'll talk about how the band came to be. The current lineup started out in late 2006 when Jon Badalamenti, M.D. rescued 3 beautiful women from a burning building. Not wanting him to get all the credit, even though he did all the work, Tony Engel, Esq claimed HE did it and garnered much fanfare. So Jon enlisted the help of Bob "Cabo" Hilton, who was a bouncer at the "Circle K Lounge" and called famous attorney, Ron Thomas in case he could make a quick buck in a lawsuit. The ensuing carnage became the MIGHTY VEILSIDE. The "Mighty" part was dropped when the guys deemed that name to be too stupid, and just went with Veilside. In mid 2009, the band was held hostage by a short guy with long hair and a cowboy hat and after negotiations got intense, Russ Odean was convinced to join the band.....the resident terrorist and bartender. Okay, we made that part up. We came together like most bands do...from OTHER bands! Although the members all tend to listen to different styles of music, Veilside's sound is modern rock with big harmonies and a great live show. In June of 2008, the band released their debut CD, "Chapter One" that has sold over 1000 copies to date by word of mouth alone. 2009 saw the band head out to Los Angeles for NAMM and more shows that will allow them to become a regional force. The writing has begun and the plan is to record a successful follow up for release in 2009.

Dirty Dan and Mongo Man Show "Just Another Night In Hell with Pete Berwick" Show #74

With a defining sound like no other, Pete Berwick's new album release "Just Another Day In Hell" is a shining example of what the Roots Rock world expects from its performers. Well written songs, great vocal performances and a hard driving in your face sound flavored with a tad of country salt from all the musicians in the studio. This album is first rate and provides music proof that Roots/Americana rock is alive and well in the great State of Illinois.

Dirty Dan and Mongo Man Show Wednesday September 16, 2009 Welcomes Written In Red Show # 73

Combining several different influences into one sonic package, Southern Chicago's Written in Red strives to bring as much energy and meaning to their music as possible. Our goal has been to mesh a powerful live show with memorable vocal lines and lyrical content that anyone can relate to. A lush atmosphere of rhythmic guitar chords with an aggressive rhythm section is the signature framework of Written in Red. In its earliest incarnation, the band was started years ago when brothers Justin and Robb began playing together. After the many twists, turns and band names, a long time guitarist friend, Jordan came on board. Jordan added a new dimension to the music that the brothers had never thought possible. Enter Jennifer, a young and talented singer-songwriter that could not only sing, but also play guitar and piano. There was no question. She was the front- person we had always needed. We began retooling old material while writing new material. Having spent the last year finishing our EP, "The Best of What's Around", we have been concentrating on playing out again. It is refreshing after so many hours in the studio. April 2009 also saw the debut of our first rock video, “Last Chance”. Under the direction of Vincent Singleton, it has been an amazing experience. With over 350,000 My Space hits in the past year, we are cautiously excited about our future. The third track from the CD, “Swimming with Sharks”, was posted in mid April of 2008. We are excited that the track has racked up nearly 100,000 plays. We know it will not be an easy task, but we are committed to our music, and believe in it with all our hearts.
