C.R.E.W. (Christian Revolutionaries Enlightening the World), was established by six local Christian hip hop artists in the Daytona Beach area in 2013. The idea to compose a Christian collaborative project came by spirit to a local rapper named Charles A.R. who had recently transitioned from secular hip hop. He reached out to another Christian Artist named the TheKidBigTy and expressed his concern to unite among others. Ty eventually introduced him to 5 other talented brothers of faith. They decided to title the project “Here I Am” which represents submission to Christ and being bold in faith. C.R.E.W. includes Charles A.R., Troy Jenkins, TheKidBigTy, D. Pelham, 3COLORZZZ, and Lucid. Each member brings their own eclectic approach to hip hop and the gospel to form a super group of Christian Emcees. The goal of this group and the “Here I AM” Project, is to spread the gospel to the sinners and youth while proclaiming the word of God in a bold manner.
