Intercessory Prayer Going Before God on Others' Behalf

As we study the early church, we are reminded of the importance of making prayer a part of everything we do today. We too have undertaken to do more than we can do in our own strength, if we have purposed to let Almighty God work through us. To accomplish His purposes we must have His power, that power which is available to us through prayer. Would you make the image of Christ in the garden of Gethsemane and Jesus' prayer your theme when you pray? "Not my will, but yours be done." God has promised that if we ask anything according to His will, He will do it. May we daily claim His promises and make this the model for all our prayers. May His reign come and may His will be done, in our lives, in His church and in the whole world. Mark 14:35,36
