Building A Powerful Vision

In my work with vision board participants, I ask: " If you were to write the story of your life up to this point, would it be the story you want to tell? Are you happy with how your life is turning out?" If you're not being energized by our life, who or what is draining your energy and controlling your destiny? Being in control of what's happening in your life means different things at different life stages. At some times in your life, your responsibilities can require 100% of your attention. During these times, it's all you can do to get through the day or the workweek in order to get some sleep and prepare for the week ahead. I have traveled in those shoes and certainly respect the ?giving? years. HOPEFULLY, there comes a moment when you can reclaim your life, your dreams and your goals. When you do pick up the dreams and goals again, they're possibly out of sync with who you've become and what you're after. It's at this point that a new journey beings. Right now, you may be able to attend to your own passions and dreams just a bit or all of the time. Perhaps your children have all started school or your last child has left for college. Perhaps you've retired from your ?first career? and you're looking to focus your energy on an entrepreneurial venture. Perhaps you're recently single. Perhaps you were recently downsized or you see it coming and you need a new business plan. I believe that creating a powerful vision and vision board can help you find your most passionate connection with work, play and life. I had an improvisation comedy instructor who one told me that the life you're living isn't a dress rehearsal. With that in mind, I invite you head down the path of a living a life you love. ~ Tess
