A positive mind finds a way it can be done; a negative mind looks for all the ways it can't be done. Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing. You have to have a lot of ideas. First, if you want to make discoveries, it's a good thing to have good ideas. And second, you have to have a sort of sixth sense -- the result of judgment and experience -- which ideas are worth following up. I seem to have the first thing, a lot of ideas, and I also seem to have good judgment as to which are the bad ideas that I should just ignore, and the good ones, that I'd better follow up. At least two thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religious or political idols. Love you all members of the valley of peace.
