Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Transformational Health Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Blogtalkradio host and best selling Author.

These last few weeks have been interesting to follow. Is it HYPE or is it Truth? What can we do about it? How does it affect us? How serious is it in reality? What are some of the restrictions? What can we do to prevent being infected by the virus? Why do people panic? 

Suggestions:

Wash hands often with lots of soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Really rub your hands as only friction can get rid of the virus sitting on your hands. Sing Happy Birthday twice to make sure you scrub your hands for the 20 seconds.

Do NOT touch your face, eyes, nose, mouth, as these are easy entries for the virus.

Stay away from people who cough, are sick. No hugging or kissing. Use elbow to elbow touch, if you need to touch and refrain from handshakes. 

Just heard that President Trump will be imposing a 4 week quaranteen on all people living in America. If this is truly the case, make sure you have enough food and toiletries at home as stores will be empty. The talk is that we cannot leave the house for the 4 weeks, so my motto: Better be safe and sound and prepared just in case this is happening.

Get enough disinfectants to keep house clean and prevent from getting sick.

Why is this so important to me? Our Health Coach Summit just got postponed today due to people flying or driving in from all over the USA, exposing us to unnecessary risk. Now I get to cancel my flight and my hotel reservation....

Do not believe everything you hear, google and find the truth.

Safety before pleasure. Keep safe and sound. We can do later when things have settled what we cannot do right now.

Best of all, stay calm, don't freek out.
