Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Speaker and Best Selling Author.

Today is a bit somber as I am going to share about a neighbor or mine and what happened to her.

It was Tuesday morning, May 7, 2019, around 11:30 AM when I heard sirens close by. The sound was deafening, intense, and was going on for quite some minutes. We've been having quite many sirens in the neighborhood lately, so I did not want to put much meaning to those sirens, as quite often it was just to pull someone over. Well, this day it was different which I found out yesterday. I saw a post on FB about a woman being killed along with 4 dogs, then there was a picture and it took my breath away. It was a picture of my neighbor with her 10 year old daughter and their dog. The mom, Jessie, was a dog walker and trainer and she was on her way home from the dog park with the 6 dogs she had in the vehicle, when she got hit by a fellon who was chased by the Police, the fellon going about 80 mph in a residential area about 5 yards from where she lived and I live. The Fire Fighters had to use the jaws of life to get her out of the vehicle that was totally crushed, though she died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Her 10 yr old daughter found out at school that her mom died. What a terrible way to find out. What does the future hold for this young girl?
