Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Speaker and Best Selling Author.

Planning a trip used to be so easy, now it's tougher, more costly, more rules, ... How long does it take to book a flight? What's all included in the trip, flight, car, hotel, family, time, reason for trip...

I found out 6 months ago that my niece will be getting married in Europe end of June. That's when I started looking for options on when to get there and how long I am willing to be in the airplane knowing how little time I have from departure to arrival back here. So, how do I decide on what route to take? Is it the time, the money, the day, the stops on the route..... What is/are the deciding factor(s)?

Are you clear on what you NEED to make the most out of the trip?

Do you do your own research to know what's out there, before you either book the ticket yourself, use one of the agents with: Travelocity, CheapOair, Fareboom, Priceline, Expedia, etc.

Do you play around with the dates to get the best deals? Yes, some days are more expensive to travel than others.

I have found RT tickets for $507 - 828; however, the first leg of the trip was maybe 25 hours and the second leg 35 hrs. No Way! Yesterday, I found a direct flight from here to there, 10 hr 55 min (that's the fastest so far and the one I usually take, with the return flight 15 hrs with a 2 hr layover in London. This flight was just under $1000 per person. The best deal.

Take your time booking.

Make sure you save money on the flgiht, yet spend lots of extra due to hotel, extra food, etc.

Always be prepared! Double check! Make sure it's all scheduled as needed - saves time and $ in the long run.

Best of Health, safe travels!
