Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Speaker and Best Selling Author.

Yesterday, Wed, March 20, 2019 was the first full day of Spring, Spring Equinox!

Just because the date says something, does the weather play along? So many people think that winter is over, guess again. This late season we might see winter past Easter, yet, my peach tree is pushing beautiful blossoms, as is my lemon tree and the avocado tree has lots of new growth that will change to create yummy avocados. It was just raining this morning, not heavily, yet still, it's wet outside. It's snowing in the mountains today, not much, yet still enough to cause trouble on the road when not prepared.

How do you feel with these changes, spring/summer time, winter time, having to adjust your mind and body? Are the USA the only country changing the time twice a year messing up our circadian rhythm, our mood, our health or lack thereof? I know that Switzerland does not change to summer time, so now I have an 8 hours differents instead of a 9 hours difference. (last Wednesday's drive up and Tuesday's down)

Some people are not really aware of how their bodies and minds get affected, yet, just looking at my ex. above on the road.... something IS happening. Can we prepare for the change in time? Should we? Why or why not?
