Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Speaker and Bestselling Author.

Over the last few months I registered 2 vehicles and encoutered different rules and procedures. Let me explain here why sharing this is important to me and how it relates to heatlhy body, healthy mind and healthy finances.

We all know that dealing with the DMV can be a long, drawn out process IF you have questions, ARE not 100% informed and DON'T have everything ready.

So, for the AAA members, we have an option to go there, less waiting period in line; however, some different rules apply for them as they are NOT the DMV, just a DMV certified branch.

Let me just stress up front that AAA cannot register out of state vehicles - DMV a must.

Also, AAA cannot transfer title to a non-AAA person even when the seller, doner is and has been a member in good standing for over 30 years, not even with in town vehicles.

Knowing this saves you time, you don't have to stand in line at the AAA and the DMV, get hungry, thirsty, tired...

I started both processes at the AAA because it's easier, faster, and more efficient for me, normally, though not in those two cases.

First vehicle, out of state,DMV, second vehicle, in town but recipient not a AAA member, DMV.

Tips: Get all paperwork filled out completely, HAVE Title in hand, Register w/i 14 days of purchase to avoid penalty. Took 3 mos to get title from out of state, had to pay penalty.

Questions: Should I have bought a 1 yr gift with AAA for the person w/o membership to circumvent trip to DMV?

Would I have saved time and money?

Win-Win for both of us?

Could I have done it online?

New IDs for National Flights due October 2020 done at DMV, fingerprint, picture, personal info.
