Why is measuring your body fat more accurate than standing on a scale?

What is a BF% test and how is it done?
A BF test is an attempt to separate every pound of your body into 1 or 2 categories: your fat mass & everything else. What isn't fat is considered "lean body mass" which consists of your bones, muscles, hair, water, + misc. stuff, not just muscle.
Small, slender people with low weight may have greater BF% than large, more muscular peole and higher weight.
The weight on a scale is not a true representation of your health.
Methods of measuring BF%:
Hydrostatic weighing
Hand-held devices, scales measuring BF% (not always accurate)
Calipers: easiest andmost accurate choice.

Four-Site Skinfold Equation for females:
%BF = (0.29669 x sum of skinfolds)
- (0,00043 x sum of skinfolds squared)
+ (0.02963 x age)
+ 1.4072 = % BF
Skinfolds are measured in mm: Abdominal, Triceps, Thigh, Suprailliac (just above hip bone)
When healthy, %BF between 21 - 29 or 30, more energy, better focus, usually no meds, more opportunities: work, travel, fun, healthy BP, BS, Chol, lower risk of heart attack, etc.
