Does Excitement Cause Stress?

Webster's Def of Excitement.: The act of exciting; the state of being excited; agitation; that which excites or arouses; that which moves, stirs, or induces action.

Webster's Def. of Stress: A factor causing mental or emotional strain or tension; ...

This subject is so close to my heart today because I am super excited and I feel stress building up in my body and mind. Don't take me wrong, I love what's going to happen, wouldn't change it for the life of me, though, how can I be as excited as I am without stressing? I can!!!!

My scenario: family visit! Haven't seen them in 6 years..

Getting house(s) ready

food for first day, then go shopping

program(s)

transportation

music (incl. renting a violin)

mental preparation through (Jamaica)

What ifs are popping up in my head (chatter)

Does everything have to be perfect or can we just go with the flow?

Do I have to make sure they are happy? Whose choice is it?

Do I have to be in control of it all?

My tips:

deep breathing, clearing my mind, one step at a time, enjoy and live in the moment!

Concl: Happiness comes from within each person individually. Why should I worry what I have no control over?
