How do you know that it is stress that affects your sleep and not something else?
Symptoms:
Restless
Brain won't shut down
No deep REM cycle, groggy
Not sleeping 7 - 8 hours
Night mares
Reduce those symptoms
(Disclaimer: I am not a Doctor; therefore, these are my thoughts, experiences and suggestions.)
Stop watching TV an hour before going to bed. (violent)
No TV, Radio, Cell phone (unless on airplane mode, when using it as an alarm), no books, except for the one you are reading in the bedroom. Science has even come forth and said that you should not have pictures in our bedroom, as you start thinking about the people in the pictures and stimulate your synapses, hence, trigger them to work instead of rest and allowing you to sleep deeply and restfully.
What else can you do to be relaxed before going to bed?
Have a clean and uncluttered bedroom. Clutter affects your brain and your sleep.
deep breathing
stretching
hot shower
Leave no arguments unresolved before going to bed.
Always make up after a fight before going to bed.
Have you realized that when you do not sleep well, you get stressed out even more?
Practice Peace, Love, Joy, Happiness and with that Optimal Health will conquer it all.
It's your attitude that makes the difference.
