This week on DDP Radio, WWE superstar Shane ‘Hurricane’ Helms joins DDP to talk about staying focused and positive following a devastating motorcycle accident that left him bed-ridden for five months. Tune in at 9 p.m. EST Wednesday.

The WWE Cruiserweight Champion and host of the radio program, Highway to Helms, was at the top of his game physically when he broke both legs and nearly lost his left foot following a motorcycle accident in May. “I broke both legs above my ankle and my foot was like a bag of potato chips…that’s how many bones were crushed,” he recalled. “I lost a lot of strength and gained a lot of fat during those five months.”

Helms said the severity of his accident actually helped him stay focused on what he knew would be his ultimate goal:  to get back in the ring again. “Part of who I am is never accepting defeat. When the grim reaper knows where you live it changes your perspective,” he said. “I’ve always known I’ll be back wrestling again. I want to regain strength again and DDPYOGA will be the perfect way to do it. As a wrestler, the last thing I need in my life is more impact.  I’m totally impressed with the way DDPYOGA  kicked my ass the first time I tried it at a park in L.A. with Dallas. Like most guys, I always thought yoga was people sitting around in a room not doing anything…DDPYOGA totally changed my mind.”
