Dawnette, Darlene and Creola are back for an Initial Charge Radio Reunion

The Initial Charge Band took Long Island by storm for 10 years from approx 1992 to 2002. What started as a one night gig at the famous Jazz club "Sweet Waters"  in NYC to a sold-out crowd turned into a fantastic journey for 7 unsuspecting talented artists. The group consisted of vocalist Dawnette Darden, Creola Walls-Pollock and Darlene DeLoney with a killer rhythm section of comprised of Willie Pollock, Barry Heller, Vinny Cimino and Manny Focarazzo (shout out to the many great musicians that also helped out us along the journey)... The talented could not be denied!

Long Island was over populated with great live music, yet nowhere would you find a band playing a multi cultural set list of music until this Anomaly took place that just blew everybody away. Dawnette jammed with the Rock & Roll, Creola threw down on the R&B and Darlene killed it with the Funk.  Soon they were Traveling oversees performing just by word of mouth. The Hampton's, Fire Island and every club on Long Island wanted a piece of this funky phenomenon.  Initial Charge always left you wanting more. Their motto was "We Will Be White Black".
