Our History of Christianity Scripture Passage today is Deuteronomy 17:18-19 which reads: "And it shall be, when [the king] sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the Levites: And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them."

Our History of Christianity quote today is from Athanasius of Alexandria. He said: "The self-revealing of the Word is in every dimension -- above, in creation; below, in the Incarnation; in the depth, in Hades; in the breadth, throughout the world. All things have been filled with the knowledge of God."

Today, in the History of Christianity, we are looking at "Athanasius of Alexandria (Part 2): The Early Years" from Dr. Justo L. Gonzalez's fine book, The Story of Christianity (Volume 1). And, I want to remind you to take advantage of our special offer. If you enjoy this podcast, please feel free to purchase a copy of the book that we are using, "The Story of Christianity, Vol. 1" by Dr. Justo L. González.
