TEXT: Matthew 5:1-12
The seventh law of supreme blessing is: "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Those who are peacemakers follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. He came to do the most important peace-making work -- that of making peace between man and God. Every Christian has a responsibility to be a peacemaker. Ephesians 6:15 tells us that our feet ought to be "shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace." When a horse's hooves are shod, he is fitted with metal horseshoes so that he is ready to run anywhere no matter the terrain. Likewise, when we carry the Gospel of peace, we ought to be ready to go anywhere, to wade into any conflict no matter how fraught, in order to make peace -- between God and man and between man and man.
