Jesus Reveals the Laws of Supreme Blessing, Part 7

TEXT: Matthew 5:1-12

The seventh law of supreme blessing is: "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." One of the things we notice about the beatitudes is that each of them are focused on the condition of a person's heart. Jesus is not telling those who would follow Him to "do" something as much as He is telling them to "be" something. He is not concerned about works; rather, He is concerned about the type of people we are on the inside. If our hearts are right with God, the life of supreme blessing will eventually follow. And that life is not measured in material or physical benefits.
