Chip Ingram said, "We must recognize how the evil one is working in this world and take a firm stance against him. It means we take careful thought concerning what we put in our minds -- what we listen to, what we watch, and how we use our time."

Leonard Ravenhill said, "Christianity is not a sinning-repenting religion! It's a victorious religion! There should be a place where you quit your sinning!"

In their book, The Ten Greatest Revivals Ever, Elmer Towns and Douglas Porter share with us regarding the 1904 Revival: "In the Midwest, Methodists reported 'the greatest revivals in their history.' Every store and factory in Burlington, Iowa, closed to allow employees to attend prayer meetings. When the mayor of Denver declared a day of prayer in that city, churches were filled by ten o’clock. At 11:30, virtually every place of business in the city closed as 12,000 gathered for prayer meetings in downtown theaters and halls. Every school in town, and even the Colorado State Legislature, closed for the day."

Today, we are going to continue looking at the use of the word "watch" throughout Scripture in the Old Testament and the New Testament.

We are looking at 1 Peter 4:7 which reads, "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."
