Sunday Evening Evangelistic Message #133

TEXT -- John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

On last week, we began looking at the seven great wonders of a single verse that has enormous meaning for every human who has ever lived. The words of John 3:16 have amazed and blessed people for two thousand years. These words are very familiar to most of us. They are so familiar, in fact, that many of us do not think of them in any special way anymore. But, there are seven great wonders in this verse that we are discovering from the Word of God.

On last week, we saw that the first wonder is the Great Authority -- that is God himself Who is the reason behind John 3:16. The second wonder is the great motive -- that is agape love which is what motivated God to set in motion a plan to save humanity. And, we saw also that the third wonder is the great gift -- Jesus Christ himself whom God gave to the world so that we might be saved.

Now, as we move on, let us look at the remaining four great wonders of John 3:16.
