In Mark 9:14-29 we have the story of Jesus casting the dumb spirit out of the lunatic boy as told by Mark. It was clearly a miracle. Regarding it, Jesus said to the father of the boy, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."

Note in this case the promise is not to the twelve disciples but to the father, a stranger, evidently not even a preacher. And again Jesus promises a miracle to him if he had faith.
