Yesterday I was discussing football with someone who asked me who is my favorite player.  I responded Tom Brady, QB for the NE Patriots, who also holds the record for the most SB rings on one team at 5 rings.  (Mr. Charles Haley has 5 rings with different teams. The person responded that I must like Brady for the wins; I replied No, I like him for the wins DESPITE his backdrop story.  Then he asked if I had the "magic hat" liike Brady for winning; I replied, No I have the magic knees for kneeling in prayer.  Now, some of you may not like Brady, or that I stated Brady; even now you're allowing Satan to make you miss the message for the trees because I didn't call out some of our great AA players; or don't like Brady because he supported Trump.  Well, if you're going to miss today's powerful Word, and cut off your nose to spite your face,   you're already in the remedial course on the road to Victory.   quite frankly, there are some early African-American players who fought through struggles of which Brady has never encountered, like Jim Brown and the late Mr. Jackie Robinson; others who established greatness in sports where AA usually didn't even play, like Serena and Venus; Tiger Woods.  But today's message isn't about debating favorite playes; it's about understanding what it takes to acheive success on the Path to Victory. One of the things that really stirkes me about Brady is that despite his superb QB talents, he was always the back-up (high school, college, NFL) until the starter was injured.  He was so frustrted that he sought out a sports psychologist to help him deal with the frustration of still not getting his just due.  In this scenario, so many others would have quit.  But he stayed until his time came.  He didn't abort his blessing.  Let's deal with today's Word in Luke 9:57-62.
