Tunnel Vision can cause you to accept as truth the false narrative of generalizing the faults of some to all in that category (e.g., same race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, neighborhood).  This is especially true where you've had bad experiences in the past.  But such behavior is self-destructive and can result in you missing multiple blessings/opportunities.  There are times in life when circumstances or people beyond our control play integral roles in shaping our destinies in negative ways:  e.g., your parents abandon you, you're raised by abusive foster parents/relatives;  you're bullied as a child;  your father was never in your life but treated his stepchildren like they were his only biological children; you were raped or sexually assaulted; you are a victim of police brutality; you've been continuously deceived, misused, abused, or betrayed in relationships; or, even worse, your BIOLOGICAL FAMILY IS THE ONE treats you like the proverbial "black sheep."  But you know what is even worse than all of these?  When you can't have any sustained success in your life because you've allowed those prior or current circumstances of your life to encaspulate your mind in such a way that YOU become the worst barrier to your growth because you are now a jaded, angry, bitter, harsh, caustic, untrusting, pessimistic, unyielding, person.
