Pagan Coming Out Day

Yes, this is another show ocurring after the actual occasion.   May 2nd is International Pagan Coming Out Day.  Just as it can be for homosexuals, it can be a very difficult and scary thing for a Pagan to come out of the proverbial broom closet.  And just like how it's been for homosexuals, Paganism has been something that has been severely demonized by those that would try to tell the whole world how utterly evil and debauched we are. 

Even though the official coming out day is passed for this year, you don't have to wait a year to step out of the broom closet and profess your faith.

However, there are those that really can't.  Whether it's because it could be something that causes them to lose their job, be disowned by their family, catch flak from neighbors, etc., there are those that flat-out CAN'T take that step, and it is for those people that we who have ben able to come out of the closet need to stand for, especially in the face of the recent uprising of Anti-Witch rhetoric.

So grab your favorite cup of brew and come join the conversation and let's stand in encouragement to all the Pagans out there who remain in secret!
