Nobody will ever change the condition of a people until they change within themselves. Family the burden is on us to change our behavior; to build love, trust and confidence in each other and in our people for us, then, 95% of our problems will be solved. We, as leaders must declare that we will never sell out the aspirations of our people for personal wealth, position and advancement in the society of our former slave masters and their children. We must make a covenant with our people to work and sacrifice and be willing to be the good shepherd (leaders) who will lay down our lives for our people. Let us accept our responsibility and change our behavior to that, which will make us more than comrades and brothers and Sisters, but a behavior that will make us friends and companions in the struggle for the total freedom of our people here and wherever we are found on this earth.
Our word must be our bond. When we break our word we destroy the life of this covenant or the agreement that we have made. It is absolutely necessary that as leaders we must build trust among ourselves. We can only build trust when we strive to keep our word, particularly a solemn agreement or covenant that we make with each other and with our people. I PLEDGE that from this day forward I will keep this covenant. I pledge that I will work to accomplish our mission to make our vision a reality so help me God.
ENVISION THIS: A technology that heats and cools homes, increases comfort, saves money, and benefits the environment all in one
Our guest, Adam Barker-Hoyt of Maine Alternative Comfort, sees the efficiency and savings offered by mini-split heat pump technology as something that can substantively benefit people, the environment and the economy. He brings his knowledge, skills, and experience in the fields of energy, math, science, philosophy and teaching to his work drawing up specs for a home, educating potential customers, and training sub-contractors to install the mini-split heat pumps.
Adam has installed heat pumps in over 150 Maine homes, including that of the energy guru, Dick Hill, Professor Emeritus of the mechanical engineering department, and the governor’s mansion. His website claims, “A typical homeowner in Maine spends roughly $3,000 per year in oil, kerosene, propane, or electric heat. But, a simple retrofit can cut these costs in half! With a savings of $1,500 per year and an initial cost of $3,000, Fujitsu mini-split heat pumps pay themselves off in 2 years... resulting in thousands of dollars of savings, increased energy security, and a greener environment.”
The mini-split system locates the noisy compressor and condenser outside the house, uses thin copper tubing that pumps refrigerant or heat directly to discreet wall mounted blowers inside. Copper tubing running through a small 3 to 4-inch opening in the wall or ceiling easily connects the indoor and outdoor units. Fujitsu’s Green Policy places the highest priority on the protection of the environment, strives to reduce the environmental impact of their products throughout the product lifecycle, and seeks to reduce risks to human health and the environment from the use of harmful chemical substances or waste.
This show is an examination of a couple of Bay Area organizations on the rise. There is a Red Hat Society, or “Red Hatters” group located primarily in the Antioch-Pittsburg East Bay area. The club is populated by a group of women who will give you great insight into their goals and exciting road trip outings. Their representatives will be live on the air during the interview process.
We will also play a musical tribute to R&B, focusing on Rufus, featuring Chaka Khan, “Tell me Something Good” and "Sweet Thing" among other favorites from their LP/CD from back-in-the-day. We do this because we like to get into our Hamp’s favorites selections from his LP/CD collection.
We will also present Kathryn Irene Branch, Kat Woman (FaceBook presence) if you will, from Kat Entertainment. She will provide insight on her experiences as Miss Black America First place Talent Winner, Miss Black California, NAACP Image Awards Hostess, just a few items on her Resume.
We will also play a musical tribute to Rhythm & Blues from back-in-the-day. Some of our host and your favorites selected from the host LP/CD collection.
With the scheduling of these two guests, it promises to be a show of interest in people being professional and enjoying the gifts the God and life have to offer. Join us live and or forward your comments and questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ace Lundon, an old friend of Diversity Rules Magazine, joins host Jim Koury to discuss the issues of the day and just to banter about whatever comes to mind. You can find out more about Ace by going to his website at: http://www.acelundon.us.
Fasting is beneficial whether you fast partially or fully. One day fasts on a consisitaent basis will strengthen your spirit over time and give you the ability to discipline yourself for longer fasts. Three day fasts with just water are a powerful way to see breakthroughs. Fasts longer than three days should be done by people with more experience in fasting. Long fasts are not recommended unless there is an emergency or if one is led by the Holy Spirit to do so. A partial fast can include some food such as vegetables and can be done for long lengths. Complete fasts consist of water only, and water is important to cleanse the system of toxins that are released through fasting. The Holy Spirit will reveal to you when you need to fast. A fasted lifestyle is a powerful lifestyle.
