Warning: The exploration of culture, tradition and identity can lead into uncomfortable territory. The Greens (Desmond this time) are often provocative guests presenting ideas that may be challenging for some. Listen with an open mind and most of all ENJOY! This surprise show came about when I found out my friends Dawn and Desmond Green were finishing up to new books. Desmond's work in Affirmational Theology has meant a great deal in the lives of the many he has touched through sharing it. Desmond called me eager to share some thoughts that had helped clarify the focus of the latest book, so I thought we'd do a surprise show. Provocative as always, his ideas confront the status quo and challenge us to consider our place in the world in new ways. As my interest in Culture has taken shape through/with Cultural Fusion I am consistently intrigued with role that tradition will play in the emerging society. What do traditions like religion mean in the lives of those we don't so frequently hear from in the mainstream media? I am especially interested in the thoughts of those who share my passion for creating cultures of peace, with regard to the evolution of tradition. Which traditions will people hold on? Which ones will be transformed? And which ones will be released the realm of the forgotten?
