Jalesa Webster is a 23 year-old native of Murfreesboro Tennessee. She is a proud graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where she recently received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. She has an invested interest in law and likewise aspires to be an attorney one day. Currently, Jalesa serves as the newly crowned Miss Black Tennessee USA, a national title and honor that is representative of the historical Miss Black USA pageant system, a pageant that embraces African American women and promotes scholarship and sisterhood. As Miss Black Tennessee, she promotes the empowerment of women and youth throughout the state of Tennessee as a mentor and servant of her community. In August of 2017, Jalesa will proudly represent the great state of Tennessee as she competes for the title of Miss Black USA in Washington, D.C.
