Shekinah Monee comes from a very diverse Kenyan, Irish, and Eno Native American heritage. She lives a life just as eclectic and diverse as her genetic makeup. Born in New York and enjoys everything that New York City has to offer. Shekinah is the former Assistant Director and Media Coordinator for the Miss Brooklyn Scholarship Pageant, a Miss America preliminary competition. In addition, she was the Co-Director of the World's Southern State pageant. Just over a year ago, Shekinah launched her own international Public Relations Company, Perfect Vision PR, LLC. In addition, she has recently been blessed with the job being the Executive Director for the Miss Queens Scholarship Organization (preliminary for Miss America). Her strong coaching skills have helped her titleholders place in the Top 5. One of her true success stories would be Miss America 2013, Mallory Hagan Hytes. 

While she enjoys the development of Perfect Titleholders, she couldn't deny her true passions any longer. Shekinah’s passion is the youth. She works tirelessly on her platform, No Child Left Behind: Building in Literacy and Music. She goes around the country speaking with the youth and administrators to help them understand the correlation between reading and music with overall success and knowledge. After being crowned Kenya’s Perfect Woman in May 2014, Shekinah was also named the new spokesperson for Child Aid Organization of Kenya. She will be assisting in raising awareness based on he needs of children in Kenya, and putting an end to child abuse. Shekinah has been volunteering with different churches and organizations such as Junior Achievement, The Academic Advantage, the National Honor Society, and Pathways for Young Leaders to instill hope and assist the youth in creating a road map for a brighter future.
