Welcome to The Boxing Vicar Show on www.Criticalmassradio.co.uk

The show sets out to deal with changing consciousness taking place in society.

Not everyone likes change; some people don’t like change because it affects their routine i.e. “we have always done it this way”, but change is not always for the worst; it can make life easier and more pleasurable.

Although change can be for better or for worse, we should not take change for granted, reasons for change need to be questioned to discover its advantages and disadvantages.

Take one example; something we have become familiar with, “Digital imaging”?

Digital imaging has become so common; we might forget to think critically about what we are seeing. We can enhance the beauty of scenery or put in images that were not in the background which could distort a truthful representation by creating a false image.

Therefore, we should be alert to change for it could also manipulate our understanding of how we view the world; getting us to believe something that is not true be it in health, diet, worked, politics, religion and all areas of life.

Photo enhancing software might make it easier for us to enhance an image, making it appear beautiful, but it is also deceptive.

This is just one example of how change and progress although beneficial can also be used to corrupt.

Therefore, we need to be more vigilant with advancements the 21 century may bring and take more responsibility, by questioning what is helpful and what is not.
