April 15 - Musician/composer/conductor, and seven-time recipient of the National Endowment For The Arts Fellowship - David Berger

David Berger, the well known composer of modern day jazz and swing music, has composed music for television and Broadway shows, including Sophisticated Ladies; films, including The Cotton Club and Brighton Beach Memoirs; dozens of singers, bands, orchestras and dance companies, including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. His compositions and arrangements have been performed by many noted bands and musicians including the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis big band, Lee Konitz, Buddy Rich, Clark Terry, Stanley Turrentine and Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.

I had the pleasure of working with and performing in David's production, the Harlem Nutcracker, and am so excited to have him on the show. Please join me as I discuss with David his music, and his current projects.
