March 3 - Jazz Keyboardist/Founder of the Do Foundation for the Homeless, Brian O'Neal
"As a musician, I'm still learning. As a person, I'm still growing. As a working professional, I'm still struggling...striving to reach the top of my true abilities. Success is doing what makes you most happy" ~ Brian O'Neal
Brian's beloved grandmother, Daisy, once said to him, "...if you want to do music, you do music. If that makes you most happy, that’s what you do." And, do it he has. The subtle softness of Brian's musical creations are incredible. You can truly feel his experiences through his music. Brian currently tours with Motown sensation KEM. He has shared the stage with the likes of Stevie Wonder, India Arie, George Duke, and many others. Now Brian is proving himself to be an incredible solo artist/composer within his own right. Not only is Brian a fabulous musician, he is also a great humanitarian. Named after his grandmother, Brian founded the DO Foundation for the homeless. To further his devotion to the cause, and to bring renewed awareness to this perplexing problem in America, Brian spent two days on the streets of Detroit -- living as a homeless man. Please join me as I talk to Brian about his music, and his becoming an ardent spokesperson for the homeless.
