Rochleigh Z. Wholfe --M.F.A. Creative Inquiry, M.A., Women’s Spirituality is an international award winning professional visual/performance artist. Her work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC- 2004, Pen & Brush Gallery( Third Place Winner- 2006), New York City, Bromfield Gallery, Boston- 2010, Regional Arts Commission, St. Louis, MO - 2007,Women’s Caucus for Art Regional Show, Transforming Identities, St. Louis,(First Place winner- 2007) and Soma Arts, San Francisco, Dia Muertos (2002).She founded the first Women’s Gallery in St. Louis, MO 2006 and the Pioneer Valley, MA Chapter of Women’s Caucus for Art, January 2010. Her work is in the collections of prominent collectors nationwide including St. Louis Art Museum board members, and past House Representative D-Cynthia Mc Kinney In addition to her artistic achievements Rochleigh is also an ordained minister of the Temple of Isis Oasis Sanctuary, certified personal growth/business development consultant. She has has facilitated training programs for non profits, women groups, educational institutions, U.States district courts and taught K-12. Rochleigh is currently working on a historical public art project including a memorial for 300 Native American women, massacred May 19, 1676 in the ancient village of Wissatinnewag. This peaceful tribal village thrived in the foothills of Northwestern, MA. for 10,000 years before this occurred. She chairs the Arts/Culture Committee of Friends of Wissatinnewag, a nonprofit organization formed by Native Americans, who purchased the village. Their goal is to restore the village as a place of art and culture here in the Pioneer Valley,MA.
