The Diamond in the Rough talk show-Guest Amanda McCarthy

Our guest tonight is Amanda McCarthy a 16 years old young lady who has been singing and writing songs basically her entire life. She taught herself to play guitar and is now teaching herself to play piano. Amanda has one Studio Recording "Could It Be" spring 2007 part of PopStars: (an elite audition-only singing group at her middle school) She was a first place winner from the December 2008 Debra Crosby's Talent Quest TV Show. Some of Amanda's performances include - Salem CultureFest, Love Without Boundaries: a fundraiser for orphans in China and various talent shows, etc. and is on her way to many more performances. Amanda's goal/dream is to start recording her original songs, and hopes that through her music "I want everyone to hear the songs I write and be able to relate.
