Laura Bergman's life-long passion has been antique glass and bottles. She has picked up glass, scoured flea markets, antique stores, yard sales, and glass shows just loving the hunt and the treasures she finds. When she was digging one day and saw a baby fawn laying among some jagged remains, she was really struck by the effect the old glass laying in these old dumps is having on the wildlife. After that, she set out on a whole new mission with this antique glass.

An avid glass and bottle collector, Laura Bergman has lived her entire life in the Pennsylvania Amish Country. As a collector, she has spent countless hours poking through the endless glass and bottle dumps found in the wooded habitats and farmlands in this pretty part of the country. One thing that has always bothered her is how collectors take away the pretty whole pieces but leave the broken remains behind for the environment and wildlife to deal with. After seeing a baby fawn laying among the broken pieces one day, Laura decided to do something better. After a lot of creative energy, trial and error and plain old hard work, her company was born. Bottled Up Designs is a remarkable line of jewelry handmade from the broken remains of antique glass and bottles reclaimed from these habitats.
