0172 2010, Tues Oct 19, Conservative Latino Talk Radio is the home of American Latino political thought. On Today’s show, I explain how American Latinos can better participate in the American political process: Somos Republicans. It is the largest grassroots organization of conservative Latinos across the southwest. Somos Republicans which means “We are Republicans” and is an attempt to express both an appreciation for our heritage and for our devotion for the American Republican Party. We believe, at Somos Republicans, that Latinos are naturally conservative and that in being so, their sentiments are best represented by the platform of the Republican Party. Thus, our mission, both here at LatinoTalk and at Somos Republicans, is to promote Republicanism among Latinos in America and to promote Latinos in America and protect their rights from whomever would challenge them. We do this by gathering intelligence, forming ever larger membership, organizing them into state directories and forming alliances with American politicos where ever possible. We also warn off those politicos and the movements that seek to harm us and diminish our rights. Most importantly, we know at that members of the Republican Party are NOT bigots, racists nor intolerant of Latinos or any ethnic minority. But we have observed that members of these hate groups have infiltrated both the Tea Parties and the Republican Party and we seek to expose and expel them from the Republican ranks. We are a 21st century organization that meets on the internet. We have grown so much in recent months that politicos seek us out for recognition and other politicos are afraid to annoy us.
