0068 2010, Wed, April 21, Conservative Latino Talk radio. Continues to discuss the progress of Arizona SB 1070 and its attack on the Bill of Rights, the Presumption of Innocence, and upon the rights of Latino in Arizona. The Cardinal of Los Angeles, California condemns this bill as Nazi Germany type tactics and I agree with him. I compare this to 1960 Alabama when then Governor Wallace attempted to use the National Guard to enforce segregation which was also unconstitutional. I read from the bill its language regarding smuggling which is so vaque and broad that anyone who uses any type conveyance must determine the citizenship of its riders. This will result in anyone deemed a possible non-citizen to be denied simple access to a public or private bus or aircraft ride!! This bill sets back civil rights 50 years! It violates the Constitution in many ways and is burdensome to all types of public and private entities and exposes them to criminal and civil liabilities at nearly every turn. This is the worst, most poorly crafted bill in years and I'm very sorry it was written and supported by Republicans. It's wrong, its bad and its a major set back to my effort to engender support among Latinos for the Republican Party.
