War of the Words #58: Fight Week - Conflict Champ Alexa Connors

Conflict MMA #22 takes place in Columbia, SC on November 8th. Alexa Conners (4-1) will face Alyssa Vasquez (6-3) for the 135lb title as Alexa looks to become the first 2 weight class champion for Conflict. Before this challenge, Alexa sat down with us to talk about what it means to succeed in the sport she loves so much.

#2 So you made your debut in May 2013 and now having fought 5 times now and no slowing down in sight, Where do you find your inspiration and where do u see yourself in 5 years in this sport?

 I fight for many things but mainly for myself and team. I try to set goals and prove to myself that I can overcome anything and that I can be a champion. I also fight for my siblings. I try to be a good role model and show them that dreams do come true and if you truly set your mind on something, you can accomplish it. In 5 years I see myself being a professional MMA fighter and becoming better and better every year. The ultimate goal is to be in the UFC.
