I invite you to listen in on a reading taken from 1 Samuel 1:14 – 27 where the word of the Lord speaks that we are entering a season to remain in focus in Him.  Focus is to remain in the character of the Lord and then the desires of our hearts shall come through.  Yesterday readings talks about a man who has two wives and he loves one of them more than he loves the other. The man expresses his love through his giving to each wife and though one wife has many children, she sees the other as a rivalry.  The jealous wife taunts her rivalry sore because she has no children.  Eventually the much-loved wife prays deeply to the Lord of hosts, to give her a son that she shall return to the Lord to bring the child up under the priest.  The priest sees her praying and believes her to be drunk until she explains that instead she prays to the Lord.   The priest speaks the word of peace upon her soul.

The word of the Lord in the reading begins to express a deeper lover resonating from the Lord, and we need to focus our prayers in the Lord. As we focus in total this includes praying from our hearts and the heighten mind state, the Lord hears and ensures the answered petition of our prayers.  Focus strips away the strength of the adversary and therefore enables the Lord to bring us into the commandment of His love.  Our hope in the Lord is that the Lord shall ensure we walk in the commandment of His love.  We shall then come higher in the call of the Lord, amen.
