As CEO and co-founder of LuminaCare Solutions, Dr. Howe is responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic business direction and driving the scientific and technical vision for the company. With more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry,

Dr. Howe has held management positions at Pfizer, Vertex Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca. In these positions, he led drug discovery and development teams supporting drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics for antibacterial programs and various disease areas. He has experience in drug discovery as well as in the design and support of clinical trials through Phase III for antibacterials. Dr. Howe holds his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Michigan where he investigated the enzymatic mechanisms of novel biological targets to design new antibacterials for gram-negative bacteria. He has his B.S.E in Aerospace Engineering.
