Nothing happens without promotion

I came across this quote from P.T. Barnum recently “Without promotion something terrible happens… nothing”.  I like it because it states plainly the outcome if we aren’t advancing. Like it or not if we are in business we are constantly promoting ourselves.  And, why?  Because if we don’t nothing happens.
