7PM Est. - Jay Interviews Larry Ellis Jr. Jazz Musician and Host of "Jazzicology101" on BlogTalk Radio.  There is alot you can say about a man. I just want to say that when you listen to Larry's show, Jazzicology101, weather your a Fan of Jazz or not you will stay tuned in because of the man behind the microphone , Larry Ellis Jr. Very quickly you will realize that he is not just a Jazz Disc Jocky , who spins records and hopes you enjoy the show. No he is the real deal. He not only gives you good music on every show but he gives you a lesson in Jazz. I think that is why it is called Jazzicology 101.
By the end of the first show you will be saying to yourself. How does he know all that about each artist that he plays. Larry lives and breathes jazz.

He has released his 3rd CD " Your Favorites My Way " a compilation of songs done the urban smooth jazz way ! Larry is also a double BMA "Sounds Of Soul" award winner!

Larry says" I suppose, it might seem to some that making music, being a musician, is some complicated thing.I believe when you see the music, feel the music, hear the music, its not really that difficult. Im not saying that there arent hard things about "the music business" , there are always things to go through. But the pure act of making music is beautiful in its simplicity. Larry Ellis is simple, I believe music is a spiritual gift, we are created to" enjoy it" play it"'write it"compose it".My grandfather and all his brothers were all musicians, they could all play all instruments, my grand pop played the piano mostly, ever since I was three I would sit and BANG on the piano. Then at six I took lessons. Eventually I began to learn chords and theory and from there it was all jazz.
