Benjamin “Benjie” Anderson is a native of Savannah, GA. He graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School, then attended Morris Brown College (Atlanta, GA) majoring in Psychology and minoring in Voice / Music. He was President of the Psychology Club, was 2-times President of the Concert Choir; pledged Phi Mu Alpha Music Sinfonia, was a student council representative and activist, and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Little could he have known that when he first appeared on TV in 1962 on “Romper Room” in Savannah, GA., that years later he'd be doing what he's now doing professionally.
