Tonight at Clay's Pounds Of Sound,I've got Rhiis D. Lopez,the lead vocalist and keys player in the band ANA KEFR.I'll be spinning tracks off of the bands' 2009 release,"VOLUME 1",and we'll be rapping about all the tings we love,and love to hate....The music is a stomping,curshing mizture of prog and death metal,with enough thrash thrown in to satisfy even the most old-school Bay Area metalhead.The album was recorded only ONE YEAR after the band's formation,which is especially mind-blowing when you hear how tight and clean the tracks are put together,and how incredibly dirty(in a good way,a great way..the ONLY way,imho)the entire feel of the album is.It goes a step beyond cohesive and well-structured...this album is a blueprint on life's ugliest lessons,learned well on the first pass,and fought from the moment of that first realization until the battle's won.THAT is the music of Ana Kefr.Join Rhiis and I as we tear into the music of ANA KEFR-and the politics of the modern society-on this episode of CLAY'S POUNDS OF SOUND!!!
