A Disconnected Generation....Who's Fault Is It?

10And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. ...Judges 2:10

How could an entire generation of Israelite chidren not know what God had done for perhaps the most faithful group that served God?  Something happened between Joshua's generation and the generation that ensued!  As we look at the condition of not only the world, but the church, we see the same trends happening.  What has caused this disonnection, and is there anything we can do to bridge it?
