Have you ever prayed out loud in front of other people? It can be tough at times to know what to say when speaking with God.

Prayer means truthfully talking and listening to God. It doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t have to show off with big words. What’s most important is that when you talk to God, you speak to Him from your heart. Be honest and open; get to know Him like you would when you’re talking to a best friend.

The more you pray and speak to God, the closer you’ll become to Him. And when you become closer to Him, you’ll know His love and know God better.

Questions: How do you usually pray to God? What do you usually talk to Him about?

Matthew 6:7-15 7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.9Pray then like this:

“Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

10 Your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread,

12 and forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,

15but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Romans 8:26 26Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
