Lawrence was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the youngest son of five. Lawrence enjoyed writing at an early age. His first poem, a Haiku, was published in Seedlings, a local magazine sponsored by Caddo Parish Middle Magnet School. Writing became a way to express himself as he discovered the world around him. He has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys the business world. Determined to be a corporate tycoon, Lawrence progressed through the ranks in the corporate world. While thoroughly enjoying corporate America, his most fond memories are of those when he served in the military. He started out as an enlisted soldier but worked his way to the rank of First Lieutenant where he served in the Signal Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom III. He has a strong passion for helping others and this passion for others has become his greatest challenge. After writing his first book, Reflections of Reality, a book of poetry, Lawrence noticed that people around him were constantly frustrated by challenges to the life they wanted to have. His second book Instant America, Money and Its Influence Over Family is aimed at addressing common challenges to family life. What we invest in ourselves ultimately determines who we become. Lawrence enjoys a rewarding life with his wife and four children in Baton Rouge, LA. He has an MBA from Louisiana State University.
