Educational Issues for Children in the Child Welfare System
Kristin Kelly, J.D. will provide a one hour presentation on educational issues for children in the child welfare system. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the importance of supporting the educational needs of children in foster care. It will highlight important changes to federal law designed to support the educational stability and success of students in foster care, as well as discuss how attorneys and others can advocate for their educational needs. Finally, it will include tools and resources for additional information.
